Licks formulas are safe for dogs of all stages including puppies, nursing dogs and senior dogs. Administer Direct to Mouth or in a Separate Bowl. Requires 30-60 minutes to activate. Works best on an empty stomach. Repeat as needed every 4-6 hours. Safe to double or triple dosage during times of profound stress. Refrigerate to thicken gel. For dogs under 25 pounds, give 1 Packet. For dogs 26-75 pounds, give 1-2 packets. For dogs 76-150 pounds, give 2 packets. For dogs over 150 pounds, give 2-3 packets.

fantastic product

I make lick mats for my dog. I give them at bedtime so she can self soothe. She’s a senior now. Keeping her brain going is a priority. Lick mats are a good way to accomplish this. I find that the addition of this to those mats has made a big difference in her pacing and general anxiety. I will be buying them again.

Even our trainer noticed a difference

We have been using licks during behavioral adjustment training (BAT) sessions with our trainer and they have made a huge difference for our girl. Even our trainer noticed a difference after our first session using them.

Opposite Reaction

Tried to give our 4 year old boston terrier mix to help calm him for his nail clipping. After about 40 minutes he was super hyper and extra paranoid. Did not work for him at all.

This product is amazing

This product is amazing for fireworks. Every other outlet is sold out. Don't be fooled by the one bad review claiming they were missing contents in the box. I have never heard of this happening and have been buying LICKS for years. It is the most effective product on the market for dogs experiencing anxiety (panting, shaking, trembling) due to fireworks and thunderstorms. I think the only reason it isn't soldout on Chewy.com is because of one negative review due to a customer saying they didn't receive the product right. It has 4-5 star reviews everywhere else.

Significantly helps calm dogs!

Our dogs bark when they hear or see people when we travel (for example in hotel rooms or in a tent) and when we give them this before bed and halfway through the night they don't panic and bark! We have tried many different calming aids and this is the only one we have found that works, it's a lifesaver and we never leave home without it.

Missing Contents

I ordered a 5 pack of Licks. It arrived in a timely manner given the circumstances but...when I opened the package, there were only 3 packs which means I spent a whole lot of money for not much. I don't know if the product works yet. I'll keep you posted.
