what is the difference between the colors

Other than color, there is not difference in the AquaMesh options. The AquaMesh filter media is a unique, flexible media made of environmentally non-toxic poly EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate). It can be used for aquarium wet/dry filters, aquarium overflow chambers, biological filters, pressure filters, aquaculture systems, waste water systems and pond filters. It can be cut to fit any size filter.

Which color of filter medium do I order for the most dense pad? Is it the black?

The most dense AquaMesh is the color GREY.

Didn't work for me

I received this, I ordered the green, and don't understand how it would be used for a small pond like I have. It's more like a doormat. Certainly not cutable

I received this, I ordered the green, and don't understand how it would be used for a small pond like I have. It's more like a doormat. Certainly not cutable. I wanted it to keep hatchlings out of my pump entry but the holes are too big. I'll need to keep looking. I gave it one star because I don't know what it is. I love being able to get pond supplies from Chewy but they may need to vet some of the products more.

Filterfordebri

Filter does not capture debri, to stiff, not close enough to even trap any material, that other filters do.Waste of my money, have to buy alternate filters.
