I've had this aquarium for a few years now, and I really like it. If you are someone who likes to tinker with and optimize your filtration, you'll really love the built-in side filter. There is lots of space to add in the filter media of your choice. Also, if you get one of those more square, compact heaters, it will easily fit in the second chamber of the filter. One drawback is that the skimmer intake is not really safe for shrimp. Of course, in my case, the shrimp who got into the filter seemed to live happily in there...

NO INSTRUCTIONS

Yeah, cool, this tank is beautiful and comes with a built-in, hidden side filter. Guess what it doesn’t come with? INSTRUCTIONS for how to properly set up the filter. They give you a shoddy diagram, which doesn’t explain anything or tell you where the multiple bagged pieces are supposed to go. I contacted the manufacturer, Lifegard Aquatics, for help and instructions and they sent me back a product catalog. Unhelpful. I had to decipher the product photos on Chewy to maybe, possibly set it up right and I have no idea if it was done correctly. On top of that, my fish hasn’t been doing well since I put her in the tank, and I have no idea if that’s because she isn’t getting proper filtration. My advice - skip the headache. Find a different tank

Awesome so far

Has this about 3 weeks and its great to have built in hidden filter with large capacity for media. Very attractive. Excellent shipping for safe arrival.
