why is the medium size dimensions larger than the large dimensions?

The Medium is longer than the Large however, the Large is much taller.

Not Happy at All
We ordered a small and the six chart said it would be 15x15x15. The piece we got was 8x4x5. It was much smaller than we expected.

I ordered the medium and small but both dimensions are not as described, much smaller. See photos or product and tag.
