Instructions

insufficient light
I waited 2 weeks for this item and was Very Disappointed in the effectiveness of the unit. Very little light surface and ackward to use.

Useless light
Even with the lights off in my house on spots where I knew my cats and dogs had urinated, this light didn’t show anything (light turned on, just didn’t illuminate

Power
The unit is not all that effective at illuminating an area at the distal end of the handle. Light is underpowered to be effective.

anyone who states it doesnt work does no realize the lights need to be dim. not even dark tho. i guess it picks up on protiens from any animal secretion (get out of the gutter folks, im talking about splatter from hand washing by the towels) really great versatile way to attach it to the bottle with different sized gaskets. it does make it a little awkward to use the trigger on some bottles but it makes up for it with its ease of use in other ways imo. my only qualm was that i had a challenge searching for it and even the chewy rep i emailed said "sorry currently we dont carry any UV flashlights". cant yet speak to battery life.

I have an older Shih Tzu, and patterned lighter carpet in the living room. I could not detect any urine stains in an area where I knew Oeo had peed several times-
I have an older Shih Tzu, and patterned lighter carpet in the living room. I could not detect any urine stains in an area where I knew Oeo had peed several times- and it was dried-up pee! My son said it worked better in his room on his charcoal gray shag carpet. I'm not returning the light because my goth/emo teens think this is a fun party light, regardless of its failure as a pee detector. They like the clamp feature!
Didn’t seem to be any better than others at urine finding
I know it’s there, I can smell it. But I can’t find it. I have had other lights for urine detection for cats. I had hope this one would be better to find the cat

I don’t see that it shows anything better or different than the ones that aren’t supposed to be dual spectrum. It’s certainly more expensive though. The clamp is interesting but not necessary for my uses. I expected known dry areas to fluoresce brighter. It might be the color of my carpet.

It showed the urine stains I was able to clamp it on the cleaning spray and could see the stain at the same time as cleaning up.So I could use both hands
