These waterers are intended to be attached with a regular garden hose and are not gravity fed- there has to be some PSI in order to push the water in.

Can this unit be set on a heated base in the winter?

The plastic waterers are not to be used on a heated base. The heater base is to be used with the galvanized waterers.

Waste of money- literally- 1200 gallons of water

The hose kept popping out of this waterer, every week or so. I added plumbers tape, no dice. It popped off when I was out of town for the day and it dumped 1200

The hose kept popping out of this waterer, every week or so. I added plumbers tape, no dice. It popped off when I was out of town for the day and it dumped 1200 GALLONS of water over 12 hours. Will be returning.

I have ordered several Little Giant products but this is a dud. Made of thin plastic, thin rubber hose, fittings are NOT standard to USA shores. I have wonderful

I have ordered several Little Giant products but this is a dud. Made of thin plastic, thin rubber hose, fittings are NOT standard to USA shores. I have wonderful metal covered washer hoses but was unable to use them secondary to non-standard hose fittings on the device. The non-rousting cover is way too short for standard sized chickens to get their heads under to get water. Maybe ok for quail or small bantams.

Don't waste your money

I thought for sure this was secure to my chicks feeling the water bowl up with debris. Unfortunately that was not the case. My chickens simply not good off because

I thought for sure this was secure to my chicks feeling the water bowl up with debris. Unfortunately that was not the case. My chickens simply not good off because it's stuck on with a magnet and then carry on business as usual feeling the water bowl up with debris. Absolutely unacceptable especially for the price I paid. I've tried adjusting the cover up and down it makes no difference even if they don't get that cover off they still manage to get debris in the bowl. Absolutely the worst purchase I've ever made for my chickens. I am so disappointed as they disabled person can find to a wheelchair I needed something to make my life simpler and not more complicated and all this did must cause me more problems than it's solved.
