Big-ish waterer
Holds good amount of water which keeps it cooler. Easy to use. I have 5 silkies and this lasts a couple days. Would be great for a bunch of chicks too. Certainly

Poor quality poultry waterer
The tray portion of this poultry water keeper is very flimsy, I don’t expect it to last long. I bought these to replace a similar pair I have been using for 10
The tray portion of this poultry water keeper is very flimsy, I don’t expect it to last long. I bought these to replace a similar pair I have been using for 10 years. Glad I didn’t toss them. I think I will need to either look elsewhere or continue using my older models. New is not always better.
Didn’t work as hoped
I was so excited to use this size waterer in my brooder however, it leaks terribly! Makes a bigger mess than needed and got my new chicks soaked.

Easy to fill and lasts a while. I use this for adult quail. A bit too small for the full grown chickens.

not like old ones
When I filled the container and screwed on the dish lifted it up and the container fell off, this happened min of four times on each of the fount that i brought

I bought this poultry waterer so that I could have 2 waterers and switch back and forth and therefore, not have to make multiple trips out to the chicken coop in freezing weather. I thought this waterer was a bit larger than it really is but it'll work for what I need it for. I like that the base is easy to screw on and off. It's easier than my other waterer for sure. But the thing that I wish I'd paid better attention to is the fact that it has no handle for carrying and if you carry it by the base, it may come apart as it did for me. It makes carrying two things at the same time difficult. But because it's only 1 gallon, it's not that heavy... So far, it is holding up well but I've only had it for about 2 weeks.
