This waterer is filled from the top. The red cap is removed to fill the jug with water.

I love this poultry waterer, when it arrives intact. The first one was perfect. The second one I ordered arrived with the base busted, most likely in shipping

I love this poultry waterer, when it arrives intact. The first one was perfect. The second one I ordered arrived with the base busted, most likely in shipping. The third one I ordered arrived, however the legs were missing. Since I had saved the legs from the second one I ordered it worked out. Be aware it is a 2 gallon capacity, so it weighs more when filled, and the chickens will still sit on top of it sometimes and poop in the water. All in all, it is better that the ones that sit flat on the ground.

Cheap

Cheap. This is the worst one I've ever owned. It takes a lot to line the flimsy water tank to the bottom.
