  • Great bowl for Small animals.

    By on

I use these as water bowls for my small animals. The small version I use for mice and sometimes hamsters. The 20 ounce I use for rats, rabbits, ferrets, etc. They attach wonderfully to every cage and are easy to take out and refill. I love how it can be attached low in a cage so my elderly pets can still reach over the edge for a drink of water. The 3 attachment pieces can be somewhat of a puzzle when first attaching but once you know how it's supposed to go it's very quick and easy. It's a great product, however, it's a little more expensive than I like to pay especially since I buy so many. I usually only buy these bowls when they are on sale but they are definitely my attachable bowl I use these as water bowls for my small animals. • African Grey can't get this loose. Ha, ha!

    By on

Both my Greys have been able to swivel the Lixit bowls loose to dump them, but this bowl's easy slide lock mechanism has ended that problem. It's also a bit shallower, so great size for medium parrots. I'm ordering 3 more so I always have a clean spare.

I bought this for my Canary as a treat cup. It is perfect! The bowl size is very large, I like that it locks in place. Because it attatches to the cage it does not take up any room!

  • Great bowl for a crate

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This bowl is great for my dog's crate. I like that its easy to install and when you need to change the water and wash the dish daily, its VERY EASY to remove and put back. My dog isn't rough with it and just drinks out of it. It never moves unless I remove it. The best part is the ease of removing and putting back...and its dishwasher safe.

  • My pigs are the WORST

    By on

Here’s the thing. The bowl design should be sufficiently spill proof. It’s nice. It’s cheap. Cleans easy and is portion controlled. Unfortunately my boars are terrorists who’s sole source of entertainment in life is to destroy their cage as quickly and as thoroughly as possible while wasting expensive hay and pellets. They know how to pull the bowl out of the locking mechanism with their teeth if it is positioned low enough on the cage. They know how to knock it out of the locking mechanism by getting under it and head butting it if it’s positioned high enough in their cage. Basically if you have nicer and less horrible wheeking children, I’m sure this bowl is great for you. If Here’s the thing. The bowl design should be sufficiently spill proof. It’s nice. It’s cheap. • Animal Bowls

    By on

I started out using these in a guinea pig cage. I love how you can remove the bowl itself without taking the whole thing apart and off the cage. Makes for much easier cleaning! The only down side for these with our cage is that I had to bend the bottom of our cage so I could put these low enough that our pigs could reach them. If we put them higher where I didn't have to bed the bottom liner of the cage, they couldn't reach them. We have the midwest guinea pig habitat (plus) for others who were looking to use these for their cages. I am still giving 5 stars because the item is great, it just didn't work for our cage.

  • Stays in place!

    By on

If companies are going to use plastic as a way to secure bowls, litter pans, etc.,it should be this same material. Idk about other people's pets, but my rabbits can move items around in their pen,and knock things down, so having an item like this that can stay in place is a must! I'm glad I found a product that actually can hold up and hold a fair amount of water throughout the day without getting knocked over ( unlike before).

  • Ferret Friendly

    By on

I bought this for my ferret because if anything in his cage is loose, it will be turned upside down. I use it as his water dish, it stays put, and is deep enough for him to stick his whole face in, which he loves to do. I would definitely buy it again.

  • Great Idea

    By on

Unless you have a bird that will dig for its food I cannot say to get this item. It locks onto the side of the cage well the whole idea of the item is great. However the 2 parakeets will not dig to get the food,it just is too deep of a bowl, larger and thinner is what I need.
