It is spray millet--i.e. the seed still on the plant stem. Seems fresh; the birds like it. Different sized sprays which is handy for cages with different numbers of birds.
I usually get the 1 pound bags of Living World sprays but came across this and decided to try it out since it was a better value. Kind of wish I didn't. Not sure what is going on but lots of bird food supplies have been out of stock or low quality ever since the pandemic. These sprays are pretty small, dark, and old looking. I thought there's no way this is even 5 pounds based on how they appeared but weighed the bag and sure enough it was 4.9. The 1 pound bags never had this low quality sprays before to my knowledge. Will likely have to go to the local pet store and buy their expensive but fresh sprays that are big big and a nice golden brown. Bummer.
My birds won’t touch it. They don’t live and I can’t find a way to delete the auto ship. I am now the proud owner of 10lbs of this stuff. The outside birds are going to happy unless they won’t eat it either. Grrrrrrr
Our cockatiel and parakeet love this product. Love that it comes in an economical 5 pound box.
I should have listened to the other reviews about this millet being dry and just being gross. My cockatiel loves millet...she straight will not touch this. I knew when the delivery came it was bad. It wasn't bagged at all for freshness; it was in the cardboard box just getting millet on everything else in the box. I'm pretty bummed they get you to buy this because it is the cheapest 5 pound millet and then you literally get something your birds won't eat. I now have $33 worth of millet, a bird that is sad, and no millet to give her. Some of us don't have money to keep trying out different millet. ☹
My birds love this! It's given as a treat and they are always so excited to get it.
These spray millets were dry and brown. My 3 birds would not eat them. The Higgins brand was even worse. I returned this for a refund. I like most everything I purchase from Chewy.com except for spray millet. I wish you would carry the California spray millet. It is the best I have found.
Good value and good quality. Full fat seed stalks. My birds really like it.
Wow how much they love this millet ! I feel grateful to know it doesn’t contain harmful substances! Thank you Chewy
I was a little nervous buying 5 lbs of millet, but the feathered members of our family love it! They are 4 green-cheeked conures. Be careful when opening the box, as the loose millet seeds could easily find their way onto the floor....
