Picky Cat Approved!

My cat has GDV and is allergic to chicken and salmon. With that in mind, I try to be careful about the things I'm feeding him and he's also nauseated a lot so his appetite hasn't been the best. This cat food is great because it gives him hydration, nutrients, and none of the nonsense. Plus, he'll eat it which is a feat in it of itself!

Turkey Bones

I like this brand and my cat does too. However in the last year three cans had one to two small splintered bones in them that I only found because I mash and mix this food with medication and water. I switched to turkey after using their venison and also finding a bone. The odds are good there is no bones but finding any is a worry.

turkey stew

My cat loves this but jacking up price to nearly $60.00 a case is just Insane, I have found another brand just as good at half the price

Their least favorite

Of all the “Juicy” canned foods (except fish - I don’t give my cats fish) the turkey is their least favorite. They love the Chicken and the Pork though!

Cat Loves it but I'm not thrilled

I have a very picky cat. My local petstore gave away a can one day and I decided to try it. Lo and behold, the cat that turns her nose up at almost everything, chowed down on this turkey stew. I got a few more cans, same results. I ended up getting a case. At first look, I liked the ingredients and the moisture. However, when I looked at the feeding instructions I was pretty appalled that my 14 lb Maine Coon needed to eat 2.5-3 cans of this a day. The other food she eats is more calorie dense and she only needs 2 cans/day. The pollock stew is also periodically enjoyed by my cat, but its even lower calorie. If the price were a bit more reasonable I'd feel like this food was worth it but its definitely a premium price. This food might be good for overweight cats as there's a lot more liquid, less calories. I'll probably keep feeding this for now but I'd like to find a better food for both of us.

Vet Reccomended, Kitten approved.

Aslan and Rooster here - Kittens of discriminating palates. Our Vet reccomended Lotus food as a great brand (she is a holistic vet, who is very proactive in food research and its connection to pet health) and we love it. Crafted by a family owned business with careful oversight of production (not a huge umbrella manufacturer) she said you know what is listed is what you are getting - and the nutritional science is there as well.

Monosodium phosphate BAD

See my review about Just Juicy venison. Monosodium phosphate is added and it's BAD for cats with kidney function concerns and kidney failure is #1 killer of cats. LOTUS - get it together.

Quality Control is extremely bad the last 6 months

This case of 24 arrived tightly sealed in plastic. Half the cans had baked on black gunk! Had to wait forever to get credit, after having to be inconvenienced to return. Customer support and quality control has been really bad the last 6 months.

Lotus Just Juicy Turkey

I have been feeding my cat, Azzie, the Just Juicy products for a long time. She is very tiny and a very picky eater. She eats the chicken most of the times but doesn't seem to eat the pork very well. Thought I would try the turkey to give her a different variety. The food from Lotus is very high quality nice chunks of meat in a broth. Hopefully, she will like the turkey.
