Scrumptious
By Doglover on Jul 5, 2019
From the look on my dog's face while I mix this into her dry kibbles, it is scrumptious. It has a nice texture which makes it very easy to mix into dry kibbles. It does have a slight fishy smell, very similar to human-grade canned anchovies. I will definitely try other cans from Lotus.

Great for Pups with food sensitivities
By LongtimeChewyCustomer on Mar 14, 2019
My two dogs LOVE this food, which I use to make a gravy with their dry food. It is well-tolerated by my dog with multiple food sensitivities, and I believe the quality to be good as I have been through multiple cases now and have seen no issues. It is strong-smelling, but the pups love that aspect of it too.

Great Canned Dog Food!!!
By MarylandDogLover on May 10, 2018
Sad to see that there is only one (1) prior review for this excellent product. We use this as a "topper" for the kibble we feed our three dogs (Victor Salmon and Sweet Potato, which they also love!!). All three of our dogs love this included in their food, including the "picky" eater. We have three larger dogs, so it goes pretty fast in our house. The "price-point" is a little high, but the excellent ingredients warrant it, we believe. Our three dogs are all fish, all the time, and they all have beautiful glossy coats and are muscular and lean. Excellent product.....hope to see more customer reviews in the future!!!

My dogs are in love with this Sardine Loaf. I add it on top of their Victor Yukon Salmon food. I have two Newfoundlands and their coats have never been so beautiful!

My canine kids and I are big fans of Lotus, so I decided to try their new flavor, Sardine Loaf. It is a way of providing fish and a great source of Omega 3 fatty acids without the fear of mercury or heavy element poisoning in larger fish (like salmon), since sardines live a very short lifespan. It is also a novel protein and limited ingredient recipe for my dogs' extensive food sensitivities. This is the first of Lotus' "loaf" recipes we have tried, since my dogs love the "stews." When I first opened the can, though, I thought to myself, what have I done??? There is a definite fish odor; although it is not bad, it is strong. It is not as moist as their Stew recipe foods. It has the texture of a whipped mousse. When I combined it with my kids' previous food to transition them to this new food, this Salmon Loaf definitely overwhelmed the taste and smell of the other food (rabbit). I really had my doubts as to whether my kids would take to it. And even if they did at first, would they continue to eat it after the transition was completed (especially my finicky girl)? Well, not only did both kids gobble it down during the transition, but they have loved, Loved, LOVED it ever since. No problem getting them to the dish and to eating every morsel. They even come into the kitchen, as I am preparing their meal, and wait impatiently and loudly! I love the nutritional value, too: Fats at only 4%, protein at 10%, low carbs, antioxidant fruits, coconut oil, and New Zealand Green Mussel for antioxidant and omega fatty acid value. So, if you or your pet companions want a great source of fish with low fat and a great source of omega 3 and antioxidants, but are not concerned about the odor (it fades quickly with consumption), this one may be for you! … more
