I doubt it, it's made very cheap. I wish I could edit my review because it doesn't work too well on my short carpet and the battery doesn't last.

Will this work for a small dog of 14lbs?

Maxie absolutely LOVES this toy! As soon as he sees me picking it up, he is at my feet, impatiently waiting for me to put it down so that he can play with it. He loves watching it just long enough to finally pounce on it and chase it around the room. The only time he doesn't play with it is when it has stopped moving under the couch, away from his reach. But when I move the couch to retrieve it, he pays attention to nothing else but this wondrous toy! He has fun playing with it even when it's not moving on its own! It's literally his all-time favorite!

None of my 6 cats will chase or bat at it. They will watch it and flollow it with their eyes, but not interact. On the "fast" mode it scurries around so fast and

None of my 6 cats will chase or bat at it. They will watch it and flollow it with their eyes, but not interact. On the "fast" mode it scurries around so fast and bangs into baseboards, doors, etc., that it knocks it connections on the side off of the contact. That causes it to stop working. Interesting idea, but maybe not the best for our gang.

I 70/30 love this thing. Motley 1700% loves this thing. It keeps him entertained for as long as his kitten brain will allow. Then he'll forget about it, & it will take me hours to find it. It eventually always shows back up. I do actually love it. Great rechargeable battery, & I bet in a big home, he'd go even crazier for it. Im considering 2 more, so that his older sister has a chance to chase one. Motley somehow broke its tail off in the first few days, so thats annoying because it was easier to find, before. This is a great product, 7 mo old boy is pleased. I wish it could tell me where he hid it.

It moved too quickly and aggressively, only 1 of my cats was interested it in but it would run into things, including them. It was so aggressive that they would just follow it around to watch it but not physically play with it. Eventually it got lost because you have to keep an eye on it as it’s moving. And it had a rubber texture so it got dirty very quickly, lint and dirt would stick to it.

My boys will watch it, but they wont chase it or touch it. It's too fast in the fast speed and it scares them. But it wont move over my carpet at the low speed

It is so desirable to all cats...

.. that the feral cats snuck in the house, stole it, and took it under the barn where they live! Before I could recharge the battery! However I will say the battery

However I will say the battery held a good long charge and my house cats had a ball with it! (For a while.) It was just what I was looking for to keep them from getting too bored.
