The LovMor Heavy Duty Dog Crate (43" Medium) is a strong, reliable option for anyone needing a durable crate. The build quality is excellent—once assembled, it feels secure and solid, and the added wheels make it easy to move between rooms when needed. Assembly did take some time, and a few of the parts were a bit tricky to connect. However, once everything was in place, the crate came together well and has remained very sturdy. One of my favorite features is the pivoting door with the built-in food bowl holder (it included the removable bowls), which makes it incredibly easy to refill and clean them without opening the main door. I also appreciate that the top opens, offering convenient access for cleaning or arranging bedding. The bottom is a metal grate, so I added a soft dog bed for comfort. My dog is about 35 lbs—long-bodied but short—and he fits perfectly with room to stretch out. The crate doesn’t fold for storage, but the mobility and strength make up for that limitation. Overall, this is a sturdy, functional, and thoughtfully designed crate that works very well for my boy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a long-lasting, movable option.

We are seasoned dog owners, I feel I can say with confidence this dog cage was not designed by a dog owner. Positives- it is sturdy and well built. Negatives- a dog will not easily step up into a cage and there are bars on the bottom. The plastic pan does not serve any purpose because who lets there dog pee through the bottom grates. That said we retooled to meet our needs. We took off the lid and flipped it over putting the plastic pan on the floor. A bit of retooling but it now works good as a dog enclosure.

The LovMor Heavy Duty Furniture Style Dog Crate with Wheels is definitely solid and heavy-duty, but I did have a couple of issues with parts. The latch on the rotating food dish door was broken, so it will not lock. To keep it in place, I've used zip ties. Also, the welding of one of the wheels came out, so one wheel will not stay stable. This was immediately after assembly. If both of those issues weren't a problem, obviously, my rating would be higher. I love the idea of the wheels, and the hydraulic opening is fantastic. It will definitely hold my dog with room to spare. She's approximately 40 lbs and a pit mix.

Big Space with Security Problems

Pros · Size is spacious enough for most large dogs. Though, if bedding is added tall breeds may find the height limiting. The height at 34.5” is an exterior dimension. The interior height that a pet may occupy is about 25.5”. · The full length of the top opens and is supported by struts on both sides that hold the door in position. This option is great for placing or removing bedding. · Casters make the crate easy to move on a level surface. · The aesthetics of the metal tubbing construction are more appealing than a wire crate. It looks more robust and sturdier. · The price point is less than other permanent furniture crates, and a bit more than wire crates of a similar size. · While the crate requires assembly, all the components were labeled, fasteners had tools included, and most of the fasteners dropped into their threads without issue. Cons · The rotating door that allows the food dishes to be on the inside or outside of the crate is a nice concept, but the locking mechanism is problematic. The door has holes drilled in either side of the top rail of metal tubing of the door where a cylinder attached to small threaded rod drops in to secure the door closed. The lower half of the locking pin fell inside the hollow metal frame of the crate and was difficult to retrieve. The second issue with the lock is that the pin only goes into the frame of the door about ¼”. When a bit of force is applied to opposite side of the door, the pin popped out and the door opened. The locking mechanisms for the top and entry door are much better designed with sliding pins that insert into welded metal slots. · The open spaces between metal grates are about 2 ¾” and wide enough for most dogs to wrap their jaw around the tubing to chew or bend the grates. Additionally, children and perhaps most adults can reach inside the grate without opening a door. This may be a consideration if the objective is to secure an aggressive pet around children. The design may also not work well for smaller pets or puppies that can get their head through the openings. · Step in height through the main door is at about 13” and our dogs initially found entry awkward. Lots of space beneath the floor of the crate is devoted to where the tray is inserted and casters. The open space is probably good for airflow but, it’s a lot of space. If the floor grate were a bit lower it would increase the interior space for tall breeds and the step in height would be less awkward. · It’s not designed to be mobile for trips with your pet or may not be appropriate for small living spaces where a crate is not used full-time. Unlike wire crates that can be folded for transport or stowed away in a closet, this crate is assembled with bolts, screws, and hex fasteners. While it’s sturdy, it occupies a lot of space in a room, and a full breakdown and reassembly may take an hour or so.

We are all happy that she is happier. We leave the door open when we are home and she'll go inside to lay on the bed we put in it. Win-win for all of us.

He has also tempted quite a few of the bars as well. If you’re looking for a heavy duty, one tokeep your dog in or they have anxiety issues this is not one that’s recommended. The wheels almost broke the very next day after putting them on.
