Out of the box it was easy to assemble. Needed help mounting due to its size. All my cats love it. Will sit in it for hours. My only complaint.... I live in an old

Out of the box it was easy to assemble. Needed help mounting due to its size. All my cats love it. Will sit in it for hours. My only complaint.... I live in an old house with exterior windows sills. I had to install this around the exterior sill which left an opening between the roof and lower window sash for the cats to escape. Ended up molding something out of cardboard. No big deal.

I think that you get what you paid for makes sense for this product. It's simple and was fairly quick to build and install. The directions could use a lot of work

I think that you get what you paid for makes sense for this product. It's simple and was fairly quick to build and install. The directions could use a lot of work. Some of the wood strips were damaged upon arrival & some areas do not have pre drilled holes. That being said I think it was still a good value. It's sturdier than I thought and my cat loves it!

I thought my window might be too small but it fit, just barely. My cats would always cry at our window and I was finally able to let them out with this. If you have cats the desire to be outside whilst still being protected, this is perfect. My cats loved the fresh air this was able to provide. :)

Needs heavy modifications

While the Catio is sturdy AND made out of metal (!) I'm having to do some serious modifications to make it work in my window. My home is made of concrete block/stucco

While the Catio is sturdy AND made out of metal (!) I'm having to do some serious modifications to make it work in my window. My home is made of concrete block/stucco with recessed windows. This is typical of a lot of homes here in Florida. If your window is flush with your outside wall, you should have no problem mounting it. Mounting the Catio to my window leaves a good 6-inch gap I've got to figure out how to enclose so my kitties won't escape. I'm planning on replacing the existing roof with a new modified one that will extend further to fill this gap. I could not use the center brace because my windowsill extends out farther than the wall. I used Tapcon masonry screws to attach it to the side of my house and will build 2 support columns from some pretty stone blocks to add support to the front. The top caged section does not secure to the house. I can modify that also. I've also got to figure out a way to make it easily detachable for when a hurricane comes my way (I cover my windows). All in all, I like this Catio. But only giving it 3 stars because I'm having to modify things like mad to make it work. But it is all metal! I like that. And my kitties are heavyweights... I need to give it all the support I can.

Perfect size catio for our old girl who just wants to nap in the summer heat. Relatively easy installation. My husband had to build up around the window to fill gaps between the house and the catio. We had some 2x4s from an ongoing kitchen remodel and leftover trim paint.

Garbage

Soft wood, flimsy material. Interesting project that fell apart on install. Would have been furious if it did not disintegrate before cats had chance to use

This is nice for kitty to relax in the fresh air and be safe from coyotes or stray dogs, which we do have around here. Good for 1 kitty at a time, so there's room
