Is it possible to post a picture with the rakes labeled for which use they are recommended for? Example: course, fine, face
Answer by ChewyAug 31, 2020
Please see the attached image below. Included in the set (From Left to Right) - Fine Knife, 3 in 1 (Fine, Extra Fine and Detailer), Coarse Carding Knife, Terrier Knife, Coarse Knife and Medium Comfort Knife. Where and when to use - Extra Fine: For head, ears and detail work. Fine: For Head, neck and general finishing. Medium: For general body stripping. Coarse: For body stripping on large breeds or extra-coarse coats. Finished Look - Rolled Coat - Hand Stripping every 4-6 weeks will result in a “Rolled Coat”. This is where the hairs fit neatly into each other and the coat becomes flatter and coarser. Irregular stripping (say once every 6 months) will cause the coat to “blow”, making it longer and open (irregular looking) – stripping a “blown” coat can cause bald patches as the coat will try to regenerate itself. Knives can be extremely sharp and experience is advised if you intend to use them like this. If inexperienced please blunt the knives. This can be done by cutting cardboard in a knife like fashion to blunt.

How long are the blades on these knives?
Answer by ChewyAug 11, 2022
They are all a little different but roughly 2 inches.

Can left handed people use these or is there a special kind for lefty’s?
Answer by ChewyJan 26, 2021
These knives are intended for right-handed groomers.

Good quality and selection

Bought these to practice carding/hand stripping. I have an English Springer Spaniel with a quite wooly coat due to being shaved short as a puppy by her previous owner. They work great! Obviously you need to know how to card a coat, but these are good tools for those who do. Her coat is still a work in progress, but the before and after is still quite noticeable.

Great Value

I have purchased various grooming tools over time. These are very nice and very reasonably priced. I recommend them to others.

Do not order

This item has no instructions, does not tell what stripping knife is used for what type of stripping. Some sort of instructions would be so nice to help. For the price this is not acceptable. I did call to ship back, & they offered refund.

Stripping Knives

As a groomer these are a great quality, varied set of professional tools that are used from heavy duty body work to fine facial hair care. Thanks!
