Instructions
Easy cleanup with a damp cloth. For tougher jobs, hand wash in warm water with mild dish soap using a brush or cloth. Wipe or air dry. BioThane-coated webbing can even be cleaned with disinfecting wipes. To disinfect, choose one of the following:•A 10% bleach solution (6.5% active ingredient bleach, diluted at 1 part bleach to 9 parts water).•Envirocide® or Cavicide® (follow label directions).We’re not endorsing these products—only confirming they won’t harm BioThane when used properly! P.S. Shampoos and other topical treatments containing bleaching agents, clarifiers, medicines, or other chemicals may cause color transfer to your pet’s fur. When washing your pet’s gear, bathing your pet, or applying any of the above, we recommend removing their gear until both the items and your pet’s fur are completely dry.

Yes! Under normal use, BioThane® outlasts both leather and nylon collars/harnesses, with a break strength of 600 lbs. per inch of width and being fray resistant.
Will this harness stay flexible in cold weather?
Yes! BioThane® remains soft and flexible even in all weather conditions, including freezing temperatures.
Does BioThane® get sticky or tacky?
No, it does not get sticky or tacky under normal use. However, exposure to chemicals like DEET may affect the material.
SizingHow do I choose the right size for my dog?
The most accurate way to select the correct size and ensure a proper fit is to measure your dog. Use a fabric dressmaker’s tape for the best accuracy—or a piece of string and a ruler or measuring tape. Measure your dog’s girth (around the ribcage at the widest point) snugly against the fur while your dog is standing. Take the actual measurement and add 5% to determine the appropriate size range. This harness is 3/4” wide and available in two adjustable sizes: 15–21” and 20–30”. More sizes are offered in ½” & 1” widths. Please note that all items are handmade. Since each item is cut and sewn by hand at our New Hampshire workshop, slight variances in size are possible. Refer to our measuring and sizing charts. When in doubt, we recommend choosing the smallest size that will fit comfortably.
When unbuckled, two openings are created—one for each front paw. The adjustable sternum strap will fall between them. Guide your dog’s front legs into the openings, then bring the ends of the harness up and around the dog’s back and fasten the buckle between the shoulders. Adjust the front and back straps for a secure fit, then fine-tune the sternum strap so it sits comfortably snug.

How do I adjust the harness for the best fit?
Use the non-slip tri-glide adjusters to tighten or loosen the straps. Push the webbing through the slider to create slack, then pull it through the other side to adjust. Molded teeth inside the adjusters hold everything securely in place for a snug, comfortable fit.
