What is BioThane®?
BioThane® is a coated webbing made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It consists of a polyester core coated with PVC, making it highly durable, waterproof, and easy to clean.

BioThane® is more durable, waterproof, and easier to clean and maintain than leather. It doesn’t absorb moisture, odors, or bacteria and remains flexible in all weather conditions.

Yes! BioThane® webbing is manufactured in North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA.
Is BioThane® durable?
Yes! Under normal use, BioThane® outlasts both leather and nylon collars, with a break strength of 600 lbs. per inch of width and being fray resistant.
Will this collar stay flexible in cold weather?
Yes! BioThane® remains soft and flexible even in all weather conditions, including freezing temperatures.
Does BioThane® get sticky or tacky?
No, it does not get sticky or tacky under normal use. However, exposure to chemicals like DEET may affect the material.
Sizing:
How do I choose the right size for my dog?
Measure snugly around the middle of your dog’s neck, then add an extra 5% for a comfortable fit. This collar is 3/4’’ wide and available in three adjustable sizes: 9-14”, 13-22”, and 15-25”. Please note that all items are handmade. Because every item is cut and sewn by hand, here at our workshop in New Hampshire, it is possible that there will be some variance in our size measurements.
How do I adjust the collar for the best fit?
Use the non-slip tri-glide adjuster to tighten or loosen the collar. Push the webbing through the slider to create excess material, then pull it through on the other side to adjust. The molded teeth in the adjuster keep it securely in place.

Care & Maintenance:
How do I clean the collar?
Simply wipe with a damp cloth for quick cleaning. For tougher messes, hand wash with warm water and mild dish soap using a brush or cloth, then wipe or air dry.
How do I disinfect the collar?
Use a 10% bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9 parts water), or disinfecting wipes like Clorox® wipes. You can also use Envirocide® or Cavicide® (following label directions).
