Before this leash even arrived I knew I was going to be in love with it. And I am! And so is my dog. We have been on the hunt for a high quality slip leash and this is it. I would call it more of an all purpose leash because you can do more with it than just a slip lead. The color is vibrant. The quality of the leash is incredibly well made. It’s smooth and almost has this iridescence to it. I love the little locking mechanism to fasten the leash on your dog. It’s also a 10 ft leash so it’s great if you want something longer. We are still figuring out the hands free part but we are getting there. It’s definitely not hard to figure out. I definitely feel safe using this leash because the quality is just so great, even for my strong bully girl. Ella approves!!

This is one of those things that I didn't know I needed until I had one! My large dogs have been using those chain-and-rope-style slip collars since they were young puppies. We've never had problems when they're paired with good strong leashes, but this high-quality slip lead combines the functionality of both into one! Additional benefits of using this combo lead rather than a collar plus leash: - Adjustable maximum collar radius; No need to replace the "more rigid" steel chain collars as the pups grow bigger - Lighter weight; no problem with appropriate training - Adjustable leash handle loop Overall impressed by this product and wish I'd had something like it 12 years ago!

I had never considered this type of leash before, but was surprised to find that I enjoy having the option to use it as a "regular" lead or to have it around my waist. I would be sure to caution against using it for training stages, or if you have a puller, however. If you have a big dog I'm not sure how sturdy the clip would be if your doggo is the type to take off after a squirrel! However, for my Pugboi, it's great! The long length gives him the feel off being "off-leash" and keeps my hands free to dispense treats as necessary, or deal with poop bags, etc. I like that I can wear it cross-body style or around my waist. Love that it's machine washable, too!

I did use it on my dog, as you can see, however, he is a bit too young and rambunctious for it to safely work with him. My neighbor uses one with their small dogs and it works well for them. I would recommend it for calm dogs.

When I first received the product, I realize that I wasn’t sure how to use it. I went on the Mad Dog website and they had a great video tutorial. I’m a pretty experienced dog person and have used many different leashes.. It would’ve been easier if they had included directions with the product. That said, it’s a totally first class leash. The material is my favorite color, purple, very soft, extremely well-made, and all the attachments are great quality. It’s definitely a hands-free leash and it works beautifully

I was really excited for this leash but I’m a bit disappointed after using it several times with a couple different dogs. It is not heavy duty and has snagged several times with just a few uses. It kept choking my smaller dog and didn’t feel strong enough for my medium dog who is a bit of a puller. It’s probably okay for a medium dog who doesn’t pull at all but for my house it didn’t work.
