Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
The first was shredded and unraveled after several months. So it was time to order another. It is 1 month since purchase and the ball is still intact, knots remaining in place (he figured how to undo the knot in the last one) and there aren’t strands of the rope all over the place!
Luna's favorite toy. When she came to live with us, she brought one with her. She has very powerful jaws and she finally destroyed it. She was without it for a couple weeks and she looked everywhere for it. She loves it.
My 50 lb goldendoodle loves playing with this toy. Glad I bought the larger size
Both my dogs are not just chewers - they are destroyers. So finding toys that last longer than 10 minutes is difficult, to say the least. A toy we got them made out of actual Kevlar was gone in no time. But this thing...I dunno what makes it so special, but it has lasted quite a while with both of them playing their terrifying games of tug-of-war with each other. It has frayed, and it is now at the end of its life 2.5 weeks later, which, to me, is well worth the money, considering. Can't speak for all meg-chewers/destroyers out there, but I recommend this thing.
Our 65 pound German Shepard mix loves this braided tug toy. We play every afternoon with it. He pulls and pulls with that strong jaw of his, and 3 weeks later, we are still playing. A great toy. Once this one goes, we will definitely get another.
It's decently durable, but you'll want to keep an eye on it around aggressive chewers. The rope threads can be pulled out. It's not meant for dogs to lay and chew on, so just make sure it is only used for active play like tug-of-war.
My puppy likes this AS LONG AS I'm pulling the other end. She has a bag of toys she grabs from frequently and rarely, if ever, chooses this one to play with herself. If I play with it with her, she does like to interact with me/it & chew the ball. But when I stop, game over.

My strong-chewing Mini-Aussie is crazy about this!
It is well constructed! Too big for a Yorkie. I wish the sizes were more clearly stated online in general.
