Save your chickens! Chicken love it and rarely pant in the heat!

I bought this originally for pasty butt with my new hatchlings. It works great for that but when the temps in Texas get above 89 degrees F, my chickens would start

I bought this originally for pasty butt with my new hatchlings. It works great for that but when the temps in Texas get above 89 degrees F, my chickens would start to pant. In 100 degrees, chickens can die if they’re old or compromised. I used to run misters in the summer but the coops getting wet were nasty so I decided to try Hydro-Hen. This products is so awesome helping with hydration and gut health, it is a must purchase. Be sure to change it daily in the little gallon waterers. Use a five gallon BPA free bucket with cups for larger groups or larger chickens. The five gallon buckets with lids keep the water fresher; just keep the cups clean. This product has changed my chicken game and is a must have!!

Im unsure

They will not drink the water any more... I use a 12 gallon tank with nipple and they stopped drinking completely. Now the water is filmy and gross. I'll have to

Good Product

I like this product. It smells like cake mix. The old cake mix, not these new fan-dangled ones with all the shelf stabilizers and preservatives. My only dislike

I like this product. It smells like cake mix. The old cake mix, not these new fan-dangled ones with all the shelf stabilizers and preservatives. My only dislike is that it’s clear and with my chickens within viewing distance, I need to be able to tell that they have plenty of water. I’ll stick with the electrolytes that looks like Tang.

Kilo, one of my cream legbars, is about three months old and was suffering from heat stress. She was panting and had a bad case of diarrhea whenever the temperatures got into the high eighties and low nineties. I put this in one of the main waterers and the diarrhea cleared up within one day. I use it daily during the heat waves (with plenty of clean, untreated water available), and Kilo is doing great.

Use it every day

I usually add this to water in hot weather when I want my birds to drink more, but I’m sure they’d be thrilled if it was in their water all of the time! They love it and I always end up filling their water more frequently when this is added to it. It also smells very pleasant and the scoop inside the bag makes it super convenient to add to a gallon of water.
