Works great!

I had an ammonia spike from adding new fish to my tank (currently a 20g freshwater). It was hanging around .5-1.5 ppm with water changes for a little over a week

I had an ammonia spike from adding new fish to my tank (currently a 20g freshwater). It was hanging around .5-1.5 ppm with water changes for a little over a week. I used 3tbsp in a fine mesh zippered bag (sold separately!) placed in my filter for about 24h. Brought the ammonia down to zero! Definitely will be keeping this on hand if needed in the future!

Love it

I started using this along with fluval foam and I rarely have to change my filtration. I have a 3.5 gallon tank with a fancy goldfish and I only do a thorough clean

I started using this along with fluval foam and I rarely have to change my filtration. I have a 3.5 gallon tank with a fancy goldfish and I only do a thorough clean once every month and a half to 2 months. So bummed I can't find it anywhere but online, trying to find a substitute that I can find in stores but not having any luck.

HATE IT ! Would not recommend.

I was under the impression that this was more like carbon and zeolite. It's not. It's more like very fine grains of table salt. No picture of the jar, but the granules

I was under the impression that this was more like carbon and zeolite. It's not. It's more like very fine grains of table salt. No picture of the jar, but the granules do not look like the picture. I have a magnum polishing filter that you can no longer find cartridges for. They have been discontinued. So, I filled the insert you would need to use, after I got a flashlight and magnifying glass to try to read the directions, rinsed it and it all blew out. I would'nt use this. I didn't even get to the next step of my filter. My tank would have been a mess. And the price ! Very, very disappointed. What a waste of money.
