The tube will extend into a tank for 6 to 8 inches.

How long is the intake valve go? I have a 47 gal Column tank and need it to be deep for better circulation.

This filter is for small tanks of around 5 to 10 gallons in size, max. The intake is only about 8 inches long. It does not take Rite Size C cartridges, it takes Rite Size A.

Great Filter

I have 12 aquariums (90, 75, 46, 40 and 30 gallon), and they all have Marineland filters on them. The 350 is my favorite. They are dependable and quiet. I have 4

I have 12 aquariums (90, 75, 46, 40 and 30 gallon), and they all have Marineland filters on them. The 350 is my favorite. They are dependable and quiet. I have 4 of the 400 filters but I have decided to eventually replace them with 350s. The turnover rate is 50 gallons of water per hour less, but I seem to have fewer problems with the 350 than the 400. The 400 box requires more room, and the spray arms always clog up. The 400 does come with 2 refillable plastic cartridges for carbon, and the 350 does not. However, they are only $4.00 at Chewy.

It didn’t keep my 55 gallon tank clean at all. I wanted to try this because I heard how good it was but that is not the case. The bio wheels wouldn’t turn all the time and it kept my tank dirty. I switched back to my old one the tetra whisper and it’s amazing. I’ll never change again. Just wish I could of gotten my money back for it because it was so bad
