maxxidigest+ can be given alongside antibiotics and indeed will help to support the gut and the good bacteria. The only thing to bear in mind is that it should be separated from the antibiotic by at least 2 hours (or a little longer if possible). Purely because, if the maxxidigest+ is given at exactly the same time of day as the antibiotic, the antibiotic may kill the live probiotics in maxxidigest+, which means the maxxidigest+ will not be as effective.
Can maxxidigest+ be given with other supplements and medications?
As maxxidigest+ is fully natural, and safe as such, it can normally be given alongside other supplementation and many medications, unless there is any veterinary reason advised why not, of course. However, we always recommend checking with a vet in the first instance before giving any new supplementation, just to be on the safe side, particularly if a pet has a medical condition and/or is taking any kind of medication or undergoing veterinary treatment, so that the vet can ensure that the product is suitable and compatible to be given in conjunction with any current medication. And, in effect, maxxidigest+ can actually benefit pets who are on medication for other health conditions, as many medications can cause stomach upset.
The digestive enzymes in maxxidigest+ are plant based. maxxidigest+ is a multi-enzyme product. It contains various digestive enzymes, i.e proteases (breaks down protein), lipases (breaks down fats) and amylase (breaks down carbohydrates). maxxidigest+ also contains papaya (papain) and pineapple (bromelain).
