What is the VIT E content ?

Is this meant to be fed dry?

Answer by ChewyFeb 17, 2022
This feed can be fed as is.

Can this be soaked for horses with limited teeth?

Answer by ChewyApr 14, 2024
These pellets are small and we don't add any binders which keeps them soft. This eliminates choke without the need to soak the pellets. You can still soak them to help give your animal extra hydration and softness.

What is sugar/starch content?

This feed contains 10.2% of NSC or (non-structural carbohydrates).

Excellent feed for senior horses

These pellets are excellent for any age horse, but seniors in their 20's and beyond can easily chew these without needing to soak them. Also, horses LOVE these pellets!

These pellets are excellent for any age horse, but seniors in their 20's and beyond can easily chew these without needing to soak them. Also, horses LOVE these pellets! They prefer them over fresh, premium alfalfa or grass hay! I think it's the barley that makes them so tasty. Anyhow, these pellets are super as a complete feed or as a supplement or hay stretcher, too. Most importantly, seniors with poor teeth can eat them just fine.

My senior horse who is 28 years old loves these. I do have to soak them before feeding. He often will not eat alfalfa pellets or cubes, but will always eat these pellets. They are a great additive for a horse that is not able to chew most hay anymore and needs the extra fiber during the winter when the pasture is not great. I feed him these year round and he always eats them. He can be a picky eater since he is older.

Always rancid

The past 3 or 4 bags I’ve gotten have gone rancid, molded or had bugs in them. I need something that is more reliable. Love it when they’re stable though! Trying

These pellets are jumbo sized but they are pretty soft and break up very easily when soaked. I love the unique variety that they contain as well as utilizing sprouting

I bought half a pallet from the manufacturer itself in order to save a few dollars per bag. This stuff needs AIR and must NOT be kept anywhere near any moisture, because it will absorb the moisture and it will mold. So I lost a few hundred dollars in wasted product. Found it on Chewy and now I can order what I need as we go and not waste the feed or my money. Win win! Thanks Chewy!

I do trick training, and I've been using these pellets as treats for years now and I love them. I put them in my horse's treat ball for her to play with, and if I ever need a hot mash in the winter I just soak these and feed them with lots of water. They're perfect for every application.

This product is great. My horses couldn't get it out of the bucket fast enough as I carried it to fill their feeders. They love it. And its a nice sized bigger pellet

Medalist Sprout Pellets is a Winner!

I ordered Medalist Sprouts Pellets to feed during Endurance Rides and my ponies absolutely love it. Very palatable and easy on their stomaches. A great alternative

Good feed for horses on a forage diet

low in sugar, high in palatability! not as hard as most hay pellets. My seniors can easily chew. They are larger than depicted but none of my horses have an issue
