Won’t connect to app won’t work without app
I’m so upset I paid 60$ for this. Won’t work at all. It will not connect to the app and it won’t tell me the temp without the app.

Never works
I bought this directly from Mella and it has never worked for me. I’ve used it at multiple angles under all 4 legs of both of my dogs and can never get an accurate
I bought this directly from Mella and it has never worked for me. I’ve used it at multiple angles under all 4 legs of both of my dogs and can never get an accurate reading. It works with the app they have and it will seem to be working and then either the temp shoots up too high really quickly or it’s too low and definitely not accurate. I’m very frustrated that I spent this much on a thermometer for my dogs that doesn’t work. I have tried reaching out to the company as well and they’ve never responded.

Overall this thermometer itself seems good, I had to take points off due to the app. The thermometer itself seems accurate, charges quickly and seems to keep its charge for a solid amount of time. The shape is pretty streamline and easy to handle. I like that it's non-invasive and results are obtained from pets underarm. My dog wasn't bothered by the thermometer, and I got a consistent reading. The app is a bit bulky to use however, it takes some time to setup the pet profile, but could be useful if you're looking at readings over time. I had some trouble pairing to my phone as well which took up time.

My fearful dog was confused about why I put something in her armpit but it worked quickly to read her temp and send her on her way. Piece of mind when our doggos are sick

This Mella thermometer is a GAME-CHANGER! We have two dogs, a medium sized Frenchie and a large pit bull, as well as two cats, and this thermometer was easy to use, quick, and efficient, and the ability to transmit results to our vet is so convenient, especially if needing to monitor a pet consistently. I really enjoy the corresponding app that seamlessly connects to the device and maintains a log of our pets’ temperatures. We had no problem using this on all of our pets, both under their arms and legs! Quick, easy, and well worth the convenience!!
Can't connect to app, inaccurate temperature
Tested on my cat, the highest temp I got was 95F (normal is around 100F rectal). Tested it on myself (auxiliary temp) got 94F instead of 98F. I know auxiliary temperature

I know auxiliary temperature is usually lower than rectal, but those temps are very off. Also, I have a long-haired cat and it is very difficult for the thermometer to detect an accurate temperature under the armpit/auxiliary because of her thick fur; I would recommend sticking with rectal instead for long haired pets. Tried to link it to the app (android), but couldn't the app couldn't detect it. I know I have no bluetooth issue since it connects to other bluetooth devices easily. Also, when I go to the app and ask it to detect nearby devices, I get the unable to detect message but then it opens and immediately closes the instructions on how to troubleshoot bluetooth detection issues so fast that I can't read it. So those instructions aren't helpful... I can't say for iphones, but the app is very buggy on android. On the bright side, it's easy to charge and in theory is easy to use. But, it's just not accurate enough and the app doesn't work (at least for android).

This could be useful to keep in case the temperature changes drastically. I found the app decently easy to install and use, but it requires a good amount of information to fill out before you can use it. I wish the thermometer would work without pairing with the app, but I guess having the record is nice also. You have to double click to start the thermometer process which is kind of finicky if the pairing isn't exact. My cat averages around 101 degrees and you have to wrangle her a little to jab the thermometer into her armpit.
