This leash is designed for use as a slip collar. The British-style slip lead is a leash and collar in one convenient design for walking and training.

When I highlight this item the color looks blue and silver but the infomation states it is Amethyst and silver? Can you tell me which it is actually?

Disappointed

I purchased a leash from this brand seeeveral years ago, and I was extremely satisfied. The quality was amazing, and I just loved it. I’ve used it daily for years, and it still looks like the day I bought it, not an ounce of wear n tear on it. So I decided to buy three more for my three new puppies. I just received the package today, and immediately noticed the difference in quality. The ring on the old one is metal and the rope feels solid. These new ones have a cheap plastic ring and the silver paint is already peeling and I haven’t even used them yet. The rope is also cheaper. I know I can just buy some metal rings and replace the plastic ones myself, but I expected the same quality, especially with the new ones being more expensive.

handy-dandy

I volunteer at a dog rescue, having a slip lead that is easy to get over the dogs head, but they can't pull out of is essential. the leather stop, doesn't slide around which is great.

Mendota leash

Nice slip lead for dog training. Slips on and off easily, gentle in my hand and secure on my dog.

No more pulling!

I have a 65lb pitbull, and have bought multiple harnesses, collars, etc. but he is super smart and always gets out of them or breaks them. I saw them using these slip leashes on the show “Pitbulls and Parolees” and figured I would try. It has been FANTASTIC! So simple. Just slip it on, and go. He doesn’t pull now because when he pulls, it only gets tighter on his neck. I didn’t realize these leashes would make such a huge difference, but it has and I am extremely pleased!

Recommend Mendota

LOVE their leashes. The best on the market, IMO. However - if your dog is on that 50-55 lb mark, you may want to stick with the 3/8" instead of the 1/2" - as recommended by their size charts. My elkhound mix definitely responded better to the 3/8" and is 52 lbs. Chewy (as usual) was fantastic in getting this issue resolved and I now have new 3/8" leashes coming my way... but I just wanted to let other owners aware who might run into the same sizing problem. I would say the 1/2" leashes are better suited for large breeds, maybe 60 lbs and up. (Of course, it is a personal preference, as well as what dog responds best to.) Hope this info helps someone!

Good leash, fun colors

I like these leashes because I can get them on my dog quickly. They are not good for a dog that pulls hard on the leash because they can get too tight around the neck. I have several, and I keep buying them because my puppy chews through them, but he does that with everything.
