Will this leash work for a Yorkie

This dog lead is not suitable for small breed dogs. The Mendota Products Striped Small Slip Dog Lead is recommended for dogs 50-pounds and under.
I have a black and tan pup. She is 19lbs right now. Would the small slip leash be the right size for a few months.

best leash ever

Made well. Can be used as standard leash or a halter depending on the dog. Don't buy gentle leader, this works better for halter because it's stronger and harder to slip. Its very universal so it works on many different size dogs. Easier on my hands when dogs prey driving. So far my clever dog hasn't slipped this once and she's very talented. I also love the color, no one thinks she's a boy anymore and that question gets old.

Mendota Are the BEST!!!

I have a lot of Mendota collars, leashes, leads, dog walkers, etc. and they are the BEST!!! My small herd of rescue labs can be hard on equipment and Mendota consistently outperforms everything else I’ve tried. They are also attractive and have high visibility options to help my black lab stand out in low visibility conditions.

Great for Leash Training

Well made, sturdy leather and thick nylon, beautiful colors, easy on my arthritic hands. Stays high up on the neck to reduce pulling while I leash train my puppy. Highly recommend. So much easier to get on than his harness which he hates.

Best leash for training

We had dogs that once pulled on walks these leashes quickly stopped that behavior We have been watching Cesar Milan and decided to give these leashes a try since even a no pull harness was not working these are walk life changers for us

An OK Slip

I use all different kinds of slip and this is pretty but I do find it a little thick for my little hands, particularly when holding multiple leashes. The leather stopper is secure, but very hard to move to secure the leash so not as smooth as some. It makes an OK figure 8 for the nose loop on a larger dog, but not anything under 24lb as it's too thick. So it's pretty, and OK, but not the GOAT.
