Would the clasp be too heavy for a small breed dog? My dog is about 15 pounds so I am looking for a leash with a lighter clasp

The clip for this leash is approximately 2.5 inches by 1 inch by 0.4 inches and weighs approximately 0.8 ounces.
Can poop bags or other things be clipped onto the loop at the top? Or would I need to buy a D-ring for that?

This leash is not designed to attach bags or other items to it however, it is possible when using a clip or carabiner.
For a 40# dog - would a small snap or large snap be better?
