Hello, the food says made in the USA but where do the ingredients get sourced from please? Thank you.
Answer by • Aug 07, 2018
Merrick crafts their recipes with the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. Most of Merrick's ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may be sourced from China due to availability. Each and every ingredient must meet Merrick's own rigorous quality standards. Ingredients are tested upon arrival, samples are tested throughout production, and all pet food is tested before they release it for sale.

The kibble is approximately the size of a green pea, with flatter edges.
At what age is a dog considered "senior"?
Answer by • Nov 27, 2018
A little dog such as a toy poodle, terrier or Chihuahua isn't considered senior until about 10 or 12 years old, and the giant breeds are considered senior at around 5 or 6. Most vets, though, consider a dog of 7 or 8 years and older to be a senior.
Are the ingredients human grade?
Answer by • Jul 04, 2019
Merrick uses real, protein-packed high-quality USDA certified meats and fresh caught fish. While they only use USDA-inspected protein options in the dog food and treats, they cannot guarantee that the diets of all the animals that provide their protein sources are GMO-free. Merrick recipes use fruits, vegetables and whole grains that are GMO-free.
