Most of Merrick's ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may be sourced from China due to availability. Each and every ingredient must meet Merrick's own rigorous quality standards. Ingredients are tested upon arrival, samples are tested throughout production, and all pet food is tested before they release it for sale.

At what age is a dog considered "senior"?

A little dog such as a toy poodle, terrier or Chihuahua isn't considered senior until about 10 or 12 years old, and the giant breeds are considered senior at around 5 or 6. Most vets, though, consider a dog of 7 or 8 years and older to be a senior.
