Got these for my 5 lb Maltese, who has no teeth. They are bigger than a quarter and very hard!. I have to cut with a knife and that's not easy. Can 't crumble into food because they are so hard, and can't give them to eat because they are so hard!! Totally not working for me and not what I thought I was buying, there was no indication that i saw about size of product or hardness.
I needed 25mg tabs for my Yorkie for possible the rest of his life. The 25mg tiny tabs are very expensive, hard to find and difficult to administer. These 100mg tabs are super easy to divide into 4 parts and they are flavored so they are easy to give. This was a perfect choice for my fur kid.
It didn’t work and I had to get the regular one from a vet and then my puppy felt well. So, I just wasted my money on this chew pill.
I ordered these because metronidazole tablets have a bitter taste so I have to give it in cream cheese. My Papillon seems not to mind the taste of the chewables, but cannot chew them. She tries, but spits them out and tries again. I end up having to cut them into tiny pieces with scissors and hiding them in her food. I'm considering ordering it again, because I don't know which is more of a pain in the neck!
I thought these would be soft chews but they were very hard. Metronidazole is a tricky medicine because of its flavor so I was hoping these compounds would be eaten, but they were TOTALLY rejected to the point that he walked away without eating at all. Although I'm glad I could try a small quantity, I'm upset that it was money wasted.
This medicine is tough to tolerate, but this chewable formulation made it easier to get my dog to take it.
These get hard as a rock, have to be cut into pieces and Ellie can still detect them and spit them out. Wish they stayed soft like the chewable Pill Pockets I have to hide them in.
