I see usb cables in the preview image, does this need to be plugged in to operate? Or are those for charging a battery inside?

This sensor will plug in to a Miaustore fountain. It runs constantly, as long as the fountain is plugged in.

Does not work right away

I bought this in addition to the Mau water fountain but just like the fountain, it had too many flaws. It didn't sense the cats until they were already drinking

I bought this in addition to the Mau water fountain but just like the fountain, it had too many flaws. It didn't sense the cats until they were already drinking from the still water and by the time the water did rise up, the cats were done drinking. This could also be in conjunction to the filter of the fountain itself working improperly. Either way, sadly would not recommend :(
