The bottom is ribbed and difficult to clean
My hamster doesn't run on wheels so I can't attest to that. She also refused the water bottle, but it did seem to leak easily. The ramp is large enough for a 'teddy
My hamster doesn't run on wheels so I can't attest to that. She also refused the water bottle, but it did seem to leak easily. The ramp is large enough for a 'teddy bear' hamster. She likes to dive off the 2nd floor and it's just the right height for that. My true gripe is the bottom of the cage, it's not smooth. It has a design like a waffle cone. It's very difficult to give it a good cleaning because of that design. Other than that I have no complaints. The door snaps tight and the top has a metal clasp on each end that holds tight.
Good starter hamster cage
It's a decent hamster cage for my 7 year old's first hamster. The price was ideal. It provides a good amount of space for her Robo hamster (which is a smaller breed)

It's easy to disassemble and clean. The accessories are kinda cheap in quality. The water bottle was tiny and sub par, so we just bought a different one right away. The wheel was ok in the beginning but began to make so much noise when in use, so we replaced that about a month in. This cage gets the job done for my child's first hamster without being expensive or difficult to use for a 7 year old.

We bought 3 of these for our 3 hamsters. We have had other cages but this is the best by far and we are completely happy. It’s the perfect size to fit on top of a regular dresser, so safe from smaller kids and dogs. I actually love the little hide houses because they can be opened, you can easily pull off the top of the house which makes it so easy to get the hamster out, others you have to kind of turn over so these are much more kid friendly. So several points that have been raised on online reviews are the size, warped base, wheel and water bottle but we haven’t had any problems so I would like to explain. 1. The size of the base is great for burrowing and the second floor is solid so our little guys travel all over both spaces happily. 2. The base on one was somewhat bowed out and did wobble while empty. Once we filled the cage with all the necessities and attached the top half, it was completely fine and I could actually see daylight under the bottom which had seemed warped at first. 3. The wheel is the same exact size and in fact you can attach the Kaytee regular wheel. When we assembled the wheel we used a bit of silicon lubricant with great results. The wheel is silent and those hams run like lightning! We did break one wheel attachment and found that it’s not actually a screw situation so just read and follow the directions. 4. The water bottles are small but we believe in giving our animals fresh water every day. The instructions tell you how to prime the spout so it releases water, it will not if you don’t follow the instructions. Almost a full month now and they haven’t chewed the outside of the bottles and there have been no leaks. Again, we are totally happy with this setup!

This seems to be a good size cage for a Syrian hamster. We have had him 3 weeks now and he mostly hangs out in his little house all day. He really only comes out at night to run on the wheel. It has been fairly easy to clean. There are grid marks on the floor of the cage that may bother his feet? Not sure.
Too small for a Syrian
Nice cage, but too small for a Syrian. It's only 350 Sq cm and they need 450. But it's too short with the center piece in it (the 2nd floor). I like how deep the

I like how deep the base is and my hamster likes the red house, but I had to take the center floor out to give her enough height room. The water bottle is OK, it falls a lot and she chewed the rubber around the metal spout, but works OK. Before removing the center piece she never used the wheel. Assuming it's too small for her, but did use the ramp. The bowl is fine. This cage would be nice for a dwarf hamster or mouse, but only if you add onto it of course.

We’ve had this cage probably around 2 months. Yesterday, it was obvious something was wrong with our hamster as she was inactive even when I fed her. An hour later she was making these squealing noises she has never made before (We’ve had her a year). We googled the noise and it said the hamster is stressed or under distress (nothing has changed in her environment to cause this). My son then tried to fill up her water bottle that came with this unit and the steel ball was missing, so I truly believe the hamster ate the ball. Another negative is the hamster will make the water bottle drop off the wall because its not secured properly. I love the unit besides the water bottle. It is spacious for a hamster.

This is a great cage for easy cleaning and 2 levels of space. He loves going downstairs and playing in fluff then doing circuits on both levels. But plan on buying

But plan on buying another water bottle and, if you have a Syrian, wheel. There was enough space for a larger wheel and working water bottle. We are connecting it to another play area too.
Water bottle does not work
I like everything about this cage except the water bottle. It does not work. Also the hamster chewed on the rubber around the spout. I was concerned it might hurt

Please note this and get one that hangs outside on the cage. Always check the water level daily to make sure the pet is getting water. It is very important they stay hydrated.
temporary quail home
Well made and easy to clean. Using as a temporary home for my king quail. Added a big ramp and he runs around making happy sounds.
