The listed dimensions can’t be right? 48 inches?

The Small carrier measures 16.3 x 10.1 x 9.3 inches, the Medium carrier measures 18.3 x 11.3 x 11.1 inches, and the Large carrier measures 19.3 x 12.2 x 12.2 inches. The measurements are read as length x width x height.

Is the bottom of the carrier stiff/sturdy? Even without the insert? Looking for a hard bottom that won't collapse.

The folks at Chewy went through a great deal of carriers until we found this one. I think it might be a small or middle size, don’t think it’s the large.

Favorite Carrier!

I purchased one of these from a local store, but recently realized my spouse's cat had been using it instead of the pellet litter for an unknown amount of time :/

I purchased one of these from a local store, but recently realized my spouse's cat had been using it instead of the pellet litter for an unknown amount of time :/. I'd looked to find it again before, since my spouse wanted to get the same one since they had opted for a hard carrier before we did a 5 day moving drive with our cats, and both cats much preferred the Duffy carrier. I didn't have much luck since I hadn't kept info on the carrier, and there's no obtrusive labels, but ended up finding it here, and on sale! It's sturdy and cozy, with the fold out side also having the floor pad extend to (my roommate got a similar one that does not). I really appreciated the ability to buckle it into a seatbelt, and attach my cat's collar to the inside leash since we were doing such a long drive. At one hotel, my spouse's cat hopped in with mine, which was definitely a big step since they hadn't been that close before the drive. Very nice! Washable parts! Sturdy floor and zippers.

Comfy bed and carrier

It's great as a bed inside and as a carrier. They don't cry as much in this one in the car. We put it on a lap since it's soft.
