The cage is a bit flimsy but I tightened it up in some areas I had to make it cat proof. But easy cleaning great room I may expand it later . I wonder if I can purchase a new cage liner ?
This cage is a great cage I bought the kids before in the past so I knew what I was getting when I got them true what people say the cage is a bit Lindsay but once you put the canvas in and attach it correctly it's more sturdy yeah it's true once you put it in one place if you can't even moved around unless you move take all the bedding out and other thing out and reset it up That's the only bad thing about it but like I said I've had it before I have never had a problem with them you don't have problem now except about 20 bucks more money than anywhere back then I'll definitely buy an attachments for these cages when I get more guinea pigs
The cage was decent but we did t anticipate the Guinea pigs digging through the liner. This caused leaking of urine and feces on the floor. I’d recommend getting a cage with a hard plastic tray rather than this thin flexible liner.
Very big and spacious for my hedgehog. Can't be easily moved as it's not very stable but overall I love it.
When my daughter and I first adopted 2 guinea pigs, I thought having a C&C cage with reusable fleece was the way to go. After all, the reusable fleece meant saving money on not buying bedding and was therefore more environmentally friendly, right? Wrong. Well, maybe wrong. Maybe it is still environmentally more friendly, but it was miserable. Absolutely miserable having to clean that disgusting fleece from the urine and feces and all the hay!! It destroys your washing machine, and then you have to lay the gross fleece out to dry somewhere because you can't put them in the dryer. The leftover hay bits get all over your house in this process as well. Plus, the C&C cage kept falling apart and did not hold together well at all. After enduring this misery for about 8 months, I finally decided to get a 'normal' cage with 'normal' bedding. I purchased this cage, as I liked have the divided areas and I loved that it came with paper bedding. After using it for about a month, I can say we no longer dread having to clean the cage as it's a breeze compared to what we went through. I would almost say I look forward to cleaning this cage!!!
But be that as it may, we have two senior rats, Potato and his son Valak, who are not escapers. Potato has mobility problems where he can no longer climb. This cage offers the most ground space and I'm able to hang things low enough for him to be able to get into. They are quite happy in this new cage and we are able to keep it cleaner easier compared to their old multi level cage. Again this product is not made for rats so it would not be suitable for young to adult rats as they would easily escape the 1" spaced bars. Even some senior rats could escape this if they wanted too. Mine are happy to stay in their cage even with the door open all day if I let it and happy to be taken out on mutual terms. **Know your animals behaviors before buying this cage if it is not a guinea pig.**
We purchased this habitat about five years ago when we first got our two Guinea pigs. It’s much better than the hard-bottomed cages mostly because it’s so much bigger. We modified ours with a plastic bin on one end to contain their pee and our dripping water dispenser. We keep ours on top of a small table and have had it both with the lid on and off. We did remove the divider when we began using the plastic bin. It does the trick. The fabric is waterproof but has some staining. It wipes down well in general, but repeated pee puddles leave a little behind. We’ve never had any issues with it being unstable, but it can be tricky to get all of the pieces lined up properly and strapped in. If you follow the directions, you should be just fine.
It is absorbent but it smells like manure and now the room with the cage smells like manure even with open windows.
This is my first bad Chewy review. Cage was a good decent size, but the cage itself is super flimsy. Every time I set it up it was moving all over and kept unlatching. I would only put this cage on the ground not on anything else, I feel it would just tip all over. The top part is also quite filmsy as well and kinda get scared it might fall. If you are planning to not use the top and putting this cage on the ground, this might be for you.
