The interior litter box can be covered when not in use. A cover is included for both bottom compartments.

It was a pretty easy to put together, but some of the snap in parts were hard for snap-in pieces were difficult for me to push in, but the hubby with stronger fingers had an easier time of it. Sadly, it is missing the strap part. Van they send me the strap?? I'm hoping it

Do NOT buy. Poor quality materials.

I love the clever concept and brilliant design of this pet carrier, which is made in Italy. It's ideal for my cat, who has had multiple messy accidents on long car

I love the clever concept and brilliant design of this pet carrier, which is made in Italy. It's ideal for my cat, who has had multiple messy accidents on long car trips when we commute between homes. Unfortunately, the quality of the materials used to construct it is substandard and does not meet expectations. I received a damaged carrier that had multiple cracks on the hood, as well as a long crack at the bottom. The plastic material isn't strong enough; it"s highly susceptible to cracking and breaking. It definitely won't last for heavier pets weighing over 7 lbs, plus cat litter. I really wanted to leave a positively glowing review for this carrier. As for the price, I'm sorry to say it -- but I find other more economical carriers made in China to be sturdier and of better quality in comparison. If I purchase another plastic pet carrier, I'm sticking to Frisco.
