HORRIBLE - CHEAP PLASTIC

I usually do not leave reviews, but need to leave one for this item. PLEASE look for another carrier. This item is made of cheap brittle plastic. The fasteners to hold the pieces together are plastic and do NOT line up to fit together. The small pieces for the handle do not fit together and easily break making the handle useless. There is no way I would feel confident putting my fur baby in this carrier without it coming apart while carrying it.

Do NOT trust your pet in this

Horrible product, door popped off when I picked it up, my cat shot out. Terrible "quality". There is nothing holding the top and bottom together except two - two! - plastic round screws. Ridiculous, not sure why this reputable website would even sell this.

Do not buy

Absolutely garbage. Came with broken pieces and would not stay together. Poorly designed and cheaply made. Received a full refund, zip tied and donated to a cat rescue. Unbelievable expensive, I bought two for such a horrible quality carrier.

Instructions for putting this together were a bit confusing, but once done the carrier is very nice and convenient with the two doors.

Extremely Poor Structural Integrity

We bought two of these carriers for our two new 10 lb cats. No screws are included in the assembly. The entire carrier slots together with plastic pieces. When we did a trial and put one of our cats in, the entire base bowed away from the top. We fixed this problem by adding zip ties, but this made us start questioning the integrity of these carriers. Then when we were on the way to the vet the door of the crate (which is also just held on with plastic knobs) completely fell off and one of our cats got out (fortunately we were in the car at the time). We decided to return these carriers and Chewy was extremely helpful processing the return. At the return they gave me the option to donate these items. I actually am a foster for an animal rescue; however, the structural integrity is so low that I will be throwing these carriers away instead of donating them (since I don't want a shelter to lose one of their cats). I would highly recommend spending slightly more money on a carrier with proper screws to attach the carrier together and with a spring-loaded door opening mechanism.

Fell apart

Almost lost my cat moving to a different state. Had to pull her out of a car engine. Thank God she wasn't lost. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Do Not Buy

The door is not secure on this carrier, I almost lost my cat when door slipped open during transport. It is a very flimsy carrier.

DO NOT BUY

This is a cheap knockoff of an older carrier I have. If you want to lose your pet, buy this. The metal grate on the top does not attach until you twist two knobs, and even then it can open up. The front gate suffers from the same problem -- it's "secured" by cheap plastic knobs that can easily pop off.

buyer beware

I hate to leave a bad review because I like Chewy a lot but this carrier is flimsy and very difficult to put together. When I tried to install the top door the side piece cracked. I never could get the handles inserted. You need a lot of hand strength and patience. This item was donated to an animal shelter.

missing critical pieces

This carrier isn’t as nice as I hoped. It was missing some pieces that securely connect the top and bottom at the corners. I used zip ties to secure it. I didn’t feel like returning it. It’s good enough now. Still slightly disappointed.
