Good Quality For Price

I was nervous to purchase this carrier because of the reviews. My cat is going to be spayed and they specifically wanted a hard shell carrier. Therefore I did not want to spend a lot of money on something I will only use a couple times. I am pleasantly surprised with this carrier although it was challenging putting it together on the top, I was able to figure it out and am pleased with the results. There are no metal latches so if you’re looking for some thing sturdier I do not suggest this item. But for the price I think that it will hold up and do it’s job!

Not bad for the price but all plastic

This was a pain to put together, but the one I got was on sale for $25 so I figured the multiple ways of access would be good. The little latches are all plastic as is the top handle. I feel it is not very secure and had to hold the bottom while I transported my cats (they are fat though). For $25, ok, but not for $50

Perfect Carrier

This is the easiest carrier to put together. It comes with two big pieces (the top and bottom halves) and only 8 little pieces (two turn latches, 4 posts for the door, and the 2 optional top pieces you only need to pop in if you intend to add a strap Perfect for a cat or small dog with 360 degree air vents. You can even open the door on the left or right handed side. Which is pretty cool. Made in Italy which is an unexpected surprise.

Do not buy

This item is a do it yourself put together project. The first parts were fairly straight forward but the top door has nothing but problems. The door has been redesigned from the instruction page. I was unable to attach the handle even after contacting the manufacturer and Chewy. Also the locking knobs for the top door will not fit the door and do not match the holes in the carrier top. In other words I was unable to use the carrier.

This appears to be a nice carrier, however the locks are plastic so do not feel they will last long. One would think it is metal like the more expensive ones. I would recommend paying more for the metal pinch bars to lock in to place.
