To determine which length (18 inch or 30 inch) would work best, we recommend measuring the distance between your pets collar or harness clasp and your hand. This should be done while you are both standing so it will resemble how close you will be while walking together.

Initially I thought it was too short but it is perfect I don’t have to wrap it around my hand. It keeps my pulling dog on a short leash to give me more control,

Should be shorter

From the description, it seemed shorter. It was banded when arrived and when we started to use it to prohibit jumping, tge band came off and won't hold the short

Needs to be a little thicker

Got this for my Dane who I like to keep close when we are out. The length is great but the nylon doesn’t seem thick enough. Little rough on the edges when holding
