How long is this good for once you've opened it?

It is recommended to use this 1-2 months after opening the product. It should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. After opening, store in a fridge and keep the container tightly closed. If the supplement begins to have an off-smell or oils separate, the product has gone bad.

I’m happy my sick dog liked the flavor, in fact all my dogs liked it. It stabilized my dog and although she didn’t gain weight I think she would have if she wasn’t battling terminal illness. We just want something that would help her eat and it did.

My 17 year old hyperthyroid cat was struggling to keep weight on and her fur was a mess. Thinning, balding fur. Ribs were prominent. She’s been taking this since mid May, it is now towards the end of August. While she’s on low-dose steroids currently, her weight has increased ever so slightly and her fur has improved immensely. She looks better than she did in May. It may only be do a little for her, but it’s definitely got her through the night not yowling in hunger (she gets it syringed, likes it, and hasn’t thrown up at night since taking it).

My Dog Didn't Like it

I have an 18 year old dog who has always been pretty thin but he has gotten much thinner in the last year and is extra picky so I try a lot of different things to get him to eat more. I have bought the malt flavored high calorie supplements and he likes those but you aren't supposed to give them too much in a day. I decided the try this because it seemed like I would be able to give him more and I was hoping he would like it enough to where I could add it to his food and get him to eat his food too. I guess he's not a fan of the bacon smell and I can't get him to eat it. He will usually take anything that he can lick off of my finger but this stuff he won't touch. So unfortunately it didn't work for us. I am surprised that he doesn't like the bacon flavor and prefers the malt flavor. This also has to be refrigerated, which is kind of a pain, and it doesn't have as long of a shelf life as the stuff in the tubes.
