    A lifesaver

    Great product for helping my cat to increase his food consumption & to stop the drastic weight loss from his kidney disease. I know there is no "cure" for his condition, but it might buy me some more time with my beloved old Snickers. Only downside is that it dries inside of ear & makes it flaky. To help with this, I alternate ears & just use it every 3 days. I also wipe some mineral oil on inside of ear that had ointment on it when I apply to opposite ear. Works for me--hope it could work for your fur baby too. … more

    Easy but less effective

    My old cat with kidney disease is not interested in any food. The mirtazapine pills do a great job when he's cooperating... thought I'd try this method since transdermal application is far easier. It is convenient but not worth the price for my old guy. It doesn't seem to have any effect on his appetite My old cat with kidney disease is not interested in any food. It doesn't seem to have any effect on his appetite at all.. maybe a slight increase, versus the huge difference I see from the pill form. If your cat tolerates the pills I'd recommend sticking with that! … more
