For cost savings, I would prefer to purchase the 5 lb. bag. What is the refrigerator life once the bag's been opened? If it's less than 4 months, can I split the 5 lb. bag and wrap it well then place it in our deep-freezer until she is ready for it?

If necessary, we suggest that you freeze it for only a couple of weeks. Prolonged freezing of any food product denatures the nutritional components.

Where does the source of glucosamine comes from?

Glucosamine rebuilds joint cartilage, improves joint flexibility, and reduces pain. The Glucosamine in this supplement is shellfish based.

Can you give them two types of missing link at the same time. They are the hip and joint, but I would like to also give the one for Senior dogs. My girls are twelve years old

Awesome joint powder! I love that its in powder form, to me its way more convenient to get my dog to eat this vs a pill or one of those big chalky chew things. Its also cheaper to get this vs the chews, Sprinkle this on their food, they never know. My mom even uses this for her dog who is picky. She does sprinkle it in wet food to hide it though. If I dont use it I see I difference in my dogs, theyll noticeably limp and slow down!

Our vet went from telling us to not let him move around much, to amazed at his change after adding this to his food. He ran and chased balls up until the day before he passed unexpectedly.

I haven’t noticed a difference in my dog’s body just yet but it’s only been a couple weeks. I started this for my 7 year old Saint Bernard when I noticed he’s been slower to stand up after laying down for long periods. I was worried that the powder was going to be off putting to add to his food since he’s a pickier eater, but with starting at a lesser dose and mixing in a little bit of warm water, he’s officially to the full dose within 2 weeks!

Not sure it’s worth it

When they say to introduce slowly. They mean it. My dog is 13 lbs, serving size is 1/2 tsp. I started him at an 1/8 tsp, he had diarrhea and mucus in his stool

When they say to introduce slowly. They mean it. My dog is 13 lbs, serving size is 1/2 tsp. I started him at an 1/8 tsp, he had diarrhea and mucus in his stool. Gave him a few days to get back to normal stools before I tried again with 1/16 tsp. Stools so mushy I couldn’t pick them up and they were coated in thick mucus. So, I stopped again until he was back to normal and then tried just a pinch. Stools are still soft, and the mucus is less. Not sure if my dog just can’t tolerate it or if he’s allergic. Funny thing is, he has been eating this off and on for three weeks and today is the first day he started acting like his old self. So I think it works, I just don’t know if I should keep giving to him.

I've used Missing Link for many years and for many different dogs. Not only does it help joint problems, it is excellent for dogs with sensitive skin and/or excessive shedding. You need to give the product a good 6 weeks to show results, because it usually needs to build up in the dog's system, though for sensitive skin issues results are usually faster. I recommend this product to anyone with dogs who have joint issues or skin/coat issues!
