Ease of feeding and storing: The Mission Farms raw freeze dried dog food allows my pet to have nutritious wet food by just rehydrating with water. And it makes it easy to store and easy to transport. No weird odors in my fridge. Ingredients: The ingredients of the Mission Farms raw freeze dried food is amazing. It is 95% chicken and 5% pumpkin and other fruits and vegetables. After reading the label carefully, there are no ingredients that concern me. Supportive Descriptions and Instructions: It is never a good idea to transition a pet from one food to a totally different food quickly. The package clearly gives you a transition plan so your pet is getting better nutrition and is less likely to have any stomach upset because of an abrupt change in diet. The labeling also shows clear feeding guidelines and indicates how to rehydrate the food. Personal Experience: We have multiple dogs, and our golden retriever mixed mutt is almost 14. I have added pumpkin to his diet for a long time and we still struggle with a finicky digestive system. When he doesn’t feel good he just won’t eat. I would like to give him a good quality of life with good nutrition that doesn’t upset his stomach. He immediately went to the bag when it was delivered and coaxed me to give him a little piece as a treat. It was a good test because he liked it and there was no stomach upset. Over the course of more than a week, we transitioned him to this dog food. So far so good — everyone is happy.

I used this product as an adjunct to my dog's dry food. The individual pieces of this freeze dried product are very large and hard and are best broken into smaller pieces to make it easier to hydrate them as instructed. Having done this, they still take a few minutes to become softer and hydrated. My dog, a 75 lb Rough Collie, was very enthused with this addition to his meal, as was his roommate, a 70 lb Collie mix! I would recommend this product but would like to see the pieces come in a smaller size as it was somewhat hard and crumbly to break up the large pieces and hydrate them efficiently.

My picky little Rosie was excited to open the package when it arrived. At first, I thought she really went for it... I gave her a sample wafer... tried it dry that first time... like a snack. She grabbed it with enthusiasm and ran outside with it. She ate it all up. Mom was pleased. The second day... I gave her another dry one to munch on... but she turned it down. So I broke it up and soaked it to add to her food. Nope. That was it, I guess. She's that way with all her food. I mostly feed her cooked chicken breast, steamed rice and whatever veggies or fruits I happen to have... she really likes sweet potato. So I'm so sorry that she is so picky and refuses to eat the Mission product.... This is me with a sad and disappointed face. Let's keep trying, Chewy! This is the very first time I've been offered any free trials from any company so I'm really thankful and surprised! Thank you so much.... We'll try the next thing you have for us.

Took my dog, Gracie backpacking for a few days and nights. When we go on trips, she carries her own doggie pack with her food. This food is super lightweight and made the trip much more enjoyable for her! She, of course, got to try it before our trip and is a huge fan of the chicken and pumpkin flavor! We will definitely be using this instead of kibble for trips in the future!

Mission Farms certainly had the right mission- to make healthy food accessible for our beloved pets. This is as close to raw as you can get with 95% chicken and 5% pumpkin and veggies. All of which is freeze-dried raw and ready to eat with or without water. We really wanted our dogs to love this as a healthy treat but found whether it was dry or wet, they just didn’t go for it. We have multiple breeds, ages and sexes and all had the same reaction of “take it or leave it”. Even though it has all of the nutrients required to meet the AAFCO guidelines, it is financially impractical to use this as meal substitute and just didn’t make the cut as a worthwhile treat.
To my surprise, "She loved these treats".

So, when I picked the Mission Farms Chicken and Pumpkin formula treats, I was a bit worried about the selection. I have a very treat picky German Shepherd who doesn't like to deviate too much from the normal milk bone treats. But I thought why not give it a try and see if her taste buds have decided to explore something that would be good for her. Well, to my surprise, she actually really likes these treats. She even gave me that look that said, "Hey, can I have another one?". I would recommend these treats to others that may or may not have a finicky treat eater.

I really like the versatility of this product. It can be a full dinner, a topper, a treat…the uses are endless. My dog is too big for this to be their dinner (it would take a whole bag), so I take one piece and crumble it on top of his dry food. He seems to very much enjoy it! It can also be used as a treat, but have water nearby as it is fairly dry. Would reccomend!

The patties only have ingredients that I recognize and can pronounce. Chicken, pumpkin, apples, broccoli, blueberry, shiitake mushroom are all foods I'm happy to feed my dogs. The patties are large and tough to break apart for maximum moisture absorption. The number of patties per day for 2 golden retrievers is significant, therefore I used these as a supplement in their meals.

This is an interesting dog food, it is freeze fried in large discs that are recommended to be rehydrated with water when feeding. I tried this product both ways, dry and rehydrated. I do not recommend feeding this dry to your dogs. It makes a huge mess. The discs just explode when they bite into them. When rehydrated, my dogs seem to love this food, however to feed my 70 lb shepherd mix, the price would be astronomical as they recommend 8 or more discs of food for a dog that weight. There would be maybe three servings in one bag of this size.
