I’ve been feeding my dog Mission Farms freeze-dried food as a treat and a topper and I’m incredibly impressed. The ingredients are top-notch, made with all-natural, high-quality proteins, ensuring my dog gets the best nutrition possible. The food is easy to store and serves up quickly, making meal prep a breeze. The patties do not expand when soaked, alleviating my worry of feeding dry and expanding inside their stomach. Highly recommend Mission Farms for anyone looking for a nutritious and convenient option for freeze dried food, topper and treat.

My 3.5 year old standard poodle is a very picky eater. Much of the dog foods I feed him are left over or not eaten at all. When I received this food he was very interested in it before I even opened the bag. I opened the bag and gave him one of the burger-shaped disks and he immediately devoured it, and came back to me looking for more. I waited until the next day to give him another, since changing food should be done slowly so the dog doesn't get an upset tummy. Again, he devoured it and came back for more. There was no reaction to the new food, so the next day I gave him several disks at once. At this point, the food did not agree with him, so I did not give him more. I have had four dogs and each of them seem to have had sensitive stomachs. I am loathe to try this again with him at this point since it is allergy season and the Cytopoint injection did not seem to help and he is now on Temaril P. We will try again when he is feeling better. The one thing I do not like about this food is that it is raw. I would prefer totally cooked food. I never gave any of my dogs raw food except for fresh carrots.

My little Shih Tzu mix has become very picky about her food. I’ve tried two different fresh subscriptions, kibble, and 2 other brands of freeze dried raw to no avail. But when she smelled Mission Farms pork she immediately came into the kitchen and watched me get it ready. I put water on one patty after breaking it up and let it sit about 10 minutes before putting her bowl in front of her to eat. She was immediately interested and didn’t lift her head out of the bowl again until she had licked the bowl clean. She loved it! The patties are a nice size but a little hard to break up into smaller pieces for a small dog. I had a little trouble getting the package to reseal also. Of course my little girl doesn’t care about that! She just loves the food!
Cheddar Cheese approved!

I added the Mission Farms Pork & Pumpkin Freeze-Dried patty to Cheddar's dry kibble with a side of sweet potato and he seemed to enjoy it very much. He gobbled the patty first! Ingredients look great and I feel confidant giving this to my dogs as a topper. Looking forward to trying the other flavors. (Our cat Egg would obviously also love to try it)

I think this is a good quality food overall, If you’re choosing to feed raw. However, my dog, who’s used to kibble, didn’t seem to prefer it. He definitely favored his regular kibble over this. I noticed that it took longer to break down when soaked in water than I expected. I wouldn’t rule it out for anyone looking for an easier way to feed their pup raw dog food.
Good product if moistened

Just okay

The girls usually go crazy for this type of food. However, they weren't incredibly interested in this brand other than some initial curiosity about the new thing. I personally had trouble breaking it up, so that may be why since they are small dogs. There are not very many to a bag, and it may last 3-4 days with a 15 lb. dog if fed as a main meal based on the feeding guidelines. If it was made differently, I'd use it as training treats, but the difficulty in breaking it small enough without made that not happen. I also contacted the maker due to some oddities on the packaging. It stated there were "12 calories per piece" which seemed off to me. The manufacturer stated this was incorrect, and each patty (not piece) has 67 calories. Chewy has this listed with a fat content of 7%. However, that too is incorrect. The fat content, as verified by the manufacturer, is 37%. Because of the discrepancies, I am a little concerned about quality control. How many bags have improper print on them? Is ingredient information accurate? This makes me sad, because it appears Mission Farms is a small business, and I very much want to support those. However, I also want to know that product information is completely accurate and true especially when giving it to one of my pups.

I have two senior dogs with food sensitivities and allergies. This food did not cause diarrhea. My 15 year old Labrador ate this with no hesitation, mixed in with his kibble. My 9 year old German Shepherd was not interested in her food with this mixed in but did eat it as a stand alone treat. My perspective- good ingredients, no bad odor, slightly annoying to soak until soft.

Our dogs really seemed to enjoy these. However, it was a little stage the ratio feedings were like 18 pucks a day for large dogs and we did notice they took awhile to rehydrate. However, our dogs must have liked them so much because they couldn’t wait for the pucks to absorb the water and rehydrate before gobbling them up!
