The unit is quite sturdy and easily opens … it holds a lot and fits on the floor in the backseat of my highlander well (my pup has a dog seat that fits into the passenger seat, so this resides easily and securely right under her ‘spot’). I like the outside pockets as it makes it easy to keep a collapsible bowl, water bottle, and treat bag accessible. The unit comes with 2 large and 2 small removable dividers to provide customizable organization and it is here where the unit fails miserably. The dividers have velcro along edges which should allow you to secure then in place - however the dividers are not actually fastenable - they are not long enough to fold so that the velcro on divider can attach to velcro on unit and the velcro on the dividers is not adjustable to make it possible to attach to the main body of unit. I had high hopes for this, but find it to be significantly less than expected and at this cost, I am disappointed.
