Moko Manuka Dog Paw Balm, 2.1-oz jar

I am thrilled to review this product because I did not know my dog’s paws would benefit from a topical balm. I have a sheltie - tough paws made for rocky hills and snow. I examined his paws, though, and found they were quite dry with roughness on the edges and a couple of little cracks. I rubbed in Moko Manuka Paw Balm, and his pads became pliable. Bandit laid back and closed his eyes with a sigh of happiness. What a great way to bond with your dog! I looked through some research as I thought balm might make the pads too soft and more prone to damage from walking on rough surfaces, but vets and breeders alike agree that is beneficial as it provides a thin shield. Although it is not harmful to ingest, the product smells heavenly, and you want it to soak in and not be licked off. You can distract your dog for a few minutes with a game or treat to let it soak in. Excellent ingredients can be ingested, but check with your vet if you are concerned about any ingedient or if your dog is on medication, just to be cautious. The box gives good information: dermatologist tested, vet approved, natural infection protection. Ingredients are on the box but not the jar, so keep the box for reference. When you’re done with doggie paw massage, you’ll find that your hands are now soft and supple, too!

I plan to use this on my new puppy's paws this winter, when he goes outside in the snow. I love the scent which is a very light lemony honey scent. I put it on the back of my hand and rubbed it in. It was soft and disappeared into my skin. It was not sticky and it did not pull on my skin like wax. I don't think this balm will leave any residue on my hardwood floors.

This dog paw balm has a nice light honey scent, is not greasy, easy to apply, and really helps protect and moisturize paws! Perfect for winter or for dogs who like trail walking, or have dry paw pads.
