Love this feeder. Recently learned that grape jelly is very harmful/deadly to many birds. Hummingbirds get into the jelly and the sticky stuff gets on their feathers,

Love this feeder. Recently learned that grape jelly is very harmful/deadly to many birds. Hummingbirds get into the jelly and the sticky stuff gets on their feathers, etc and they are unable to fly. They will die. I feed with orange halves now. They fit perfectly in this feeder!

I ordered four of the clear/black because I was concerned about eventual color fading or wear (since the glass is coated), and the boxes show clear dishes on the cover, but what was inside each box is the orange/black combination. I just double-checked my order to see if I’d selected the wrong thing, but it shows I did order the clear dishes. Must be a mispick from the warehouse.

Nice size but needs a “ ring “ around glass for birds to perch.
