How many liters does it hold?

The large holds 9 liters (each pocket), the medium holds 5L liters (each pocket) and the small holds 3 liters (each pocket).

Are the saddle bags removable?

The pannier compartments can not be removed while the pack is being worn.

The small Small: 9.5 by 8.25 by 2.25 inches, the Medium: 12.25 by 8.25 by 3 inches and the Large: 13.5 by 9 by 3.25 inches.

Will this work, unfilled, as a car harness for traveling to the hike?

While it might feasibly work in terms of attachment points on the K9 pack, it is not something the pack has been tested or rated for. It is not a suggested function of the pack and not something that we can recommend use for.

Bought for my young dog’s first backpacking trip. He accepted wearing it quickly. Finding the right adjustments for straps under the legs and the saddlebags took time, but by the 2nd day it was great. This size was very roomy, able to carry his food for 5-6 days. Also stood up to very rainy conditions well.

Fit

Fits so well!

Our Belgian Mal’s around 70-74 lbs, on the bigger side of malis and a medium fits him really great. The straps length are just enough and has some extra wiggle room

The design and fit

I’m like the fit for my dog. He hasn’t gotten any hot spots from it, and doesn’t seem to be bothered at all. So I’m guessing he thinks it’s comfortable too.

good quality and fits snug

I like all of the buckles and straps, they keep the pack snug to my dog and it doesn't flop around. My dog wore it for a backpacking trip and I was able to fit two

I like all of the buckles and straps, they keep the pack snug to my dog and it doesn't flop around. My dog wore it for a backpacking trip and I was able to fit two mountain house meals in each side (size small). She carried my food because hers is heavier and i want to be mindful of loading her back. She wore her usual wonderwalker harness under her pack and I was still able to clip the leash to the front of the harness so the pack doesn't twist around.

Great fit, lots of storage

The medium fit my heeler mix great! And had plenty of room. He didn't seem to notice it any more than the harness he normally wears

Great fit

My dog is 45-50 border collie aussie mix. Thin frame. The small fits great. Easy to stash all her needs. I love it.

Ready to Hike

Awesome so far. We haven’t put weight in it yet (I’m still getting used to it). Adjust easy and doesn’t get in the way of playing.

Came apart after 2 months

After 2 months of use and about 200 miles of hiking with a 50 pound dog the stitching holding the metal leash tab tore completely out making the pack useless Trying
