This doormat is suitable to be placed on hardwood floors.

The description states to shake the dirt out of the rug. May the rug be vacuumed using a beater bar or will the rug be damaged?

To clean this mat, the manufacturer recommends either shaking our loose debris or dirt or laundering. You may machine wash separately in a warm, gentle cycle, then hang to dry.

Is the blue a bright blue color or more of a navy? Trying to decide between blue and another color. Thanks!

Do not Wash

It's absolutely great for catching dirt. However, when I washed it because one of the cats had peed on it, the ENTIRE backing disintegrated in the washer. Had to

It's absolutely great for catching dirt. However, when I washed it because one of the cats had peed on it, the ENTIRE backing disintegrated in the washer. Had to peel it off other items that had been in the washer and had to remove the drum to get the rest of it out of the machine because it was causing clogging. TLDR, it's great for catching dirt, but you can't wash the dirt off without jacking up your washing machine.

Love this mat, have several by both front and back doors. Made a huge difference on rainy days, no more wet or muddy footprints all over the house. The only drawback, kinda huge, is that they are very difficult to wash. Once wet they are extremely heavy and hold onto the water. My washer has a really hard time spinning them out. And the option to hang them to dry is laughable-because they hold water so well they don't really drip much. They can hang for days and still be soaking wet. I have to squeeze the water out multiple, multiple times. It's a fair bit of work. The big ones are the worst

It's nice and cushy. My dog likes to lay on it. The color is a dark blue and goes well with my other furnishings. It is thicker than I originally thought and it does not clear my door. So I use it as a comfy place for my dog rather than a doormat. I think it is misleading to call this a doormat.

Bought two large charcoal rugs to use by our doors for paws and shoes. They are nice and thick but the color is definitely not charcoal - it’s a blue grey - which does not go with our decor. Some reviews commented on the rug sliding around. It seems to do fine when placed over an existing larger area rug, but when placed on tile, it definitely slides and bunches up.
