In our new store bought chicken house, the nest boxes are almost lipless, so no whenever I'd put shavings or straw in, they'd be gone quickly, usually by the next day. Regular broken eggs, just not a good place. Then I tried these. The girls have loved them. They fluff them up and have nice nests and no more dirty or broken eggs. I would and have recommended these!!

I am so glad that my hens did not destroy these nesting pads, too. I tried straw and 2 types of hemp nesting materials. They would shred and drag it into their hen house making a mess. These pads, they left it alone, they don't shred or drag them out. The hens (RIRs & BA) lay their eggs and seem content with these pads. They do have a lot of dried flowers and such on them ... honestly, I don't understand why this is suppose to help egg laying. As long as my hens don't destroy these pads, I am happy and willing to continue to order them in the future. After 2 months, they still look new.

Easy Nesting for the Hens
They last a long time, I add some Saturday Lime powder to the nesting pads as well just for an added mite deterrent and will sometimes just lay a new pad on the
They last a long time, I add some Saturday Lime powder to the nesting pads as well just for an added mite deterrent and will sometimes just lay a new pad on the old one. I like to throw the old ones out into the main run area and the chickens get it all mixed in with the line shavings. I just found it an easy thing to lay into their nesting boxes. I highly recommend it, especially for new chicken owners.
Hens Fancy these more than the other brands
All three of my hens love these pads. The pads last longer, mold better for nest shaping, and the hens like the herbs on pads. The bottom of the pad and material

We saw these on one of our favorite YouTube channels so we tried them and had instant success. Our girls love these and they stay clean quite a long time. The girls don't scratch and throw the bedding around like they do with straw and the eggs are clean as a whistle.
